Clean & Dry Baby provides essential diapers and feminine hygiene products to families across North St. Louis City, helping meet basic needs while preserving dignity and hope. By easing the financial burden of diapers and ensuring access to menstrual products, the organization supports health, stability, and full participation in daily life—so no parent or caregiver has to choose between personal care and other necessities.
For many families, diapers are not just an expense—they are a source of daily stress. Across the U.S., one in three families struggles to afford enough diapers to keep their babies healthy. A shortage of diapers can lead to health problems, missed work, and deepened financial hardship.
The Clean & Dry Baby Program was created by the Foundation for Strengthening Families (FSF) to ensure that no parent in St. Louis has to make the impossible choice between food, rent, and their child’s hygiene.
Through quarterly distribution events and community partnerships, FSF provides free diapers, wipes, and infant essentials to families in need—offering immediate relief and long-term connection to supportive resources.

OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH THE ST. LOUIS AREA DIAPER BANK
Clean & Dry Baby operates in partnership with the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank, an organization that supplies in-kind donations through a grant from FLOURISH. FSF acts as a direct distribution partner, ensuring diapers reach families in the city’s highest-need neighborhoods—particularly Hamilton Heights, Wells-Goodfellow, and West End.
By combining FSF’s trusted community relationships with the Diaper Bank’s resources, the program ensures every donation makes a measurable impact where it’s needed most.
Program Purpose
Clean & Dry Baby addresses these challenges by providing a simple, compassionate solution: free access to diapers and feminine hygiene products, coupled with information about FSF’s other programs and local resources. Without sufficient diapers, families may be forced to reuse soiled diapers, miss childcare or work opportunities, or experience increased stress and health risks—making diaper access a critical foundation for family stability and well-being.
